The natural park region Lechtal
ONE OF THE LAST WILDFLOODS OF EUROPE
A unique landscape through which Tyrol's second-longest river flows! The Tyrolean Lechtal Nature Park region is nestled between the Lechtaler and Allgäu Alps. Far away from transatlantic and mass tourism, you will find 14 picturesque, local communities that invite you to enjoy and stay.
The unaffectedness of the Lech a few years ago gave reason to protect the river. The originally protected area, Natura-2000 was subsequently declared a Natural Park. Today it covers a 42.38 km² area in the heart of the region of Lechtal.

The Lech is the last uncontaminated wild river in the Alps and was voted Austrian Landscape Journal of the Year by Austrian journalists.
Recently, the Lech Valley has also the status of a “natural park“, the core zone of which we travel during the Packraft tours for a length of 12 to 32 kilometers.
In Lechtal we also offer private courses on request.
